About Aspen, Colorado
Transportation
The local airport, Sardy Field (ASE) will be closed for
runway resurfacing.
Three options for travel to the workshop are:
Fly to Eagle/Vail (EGE) and rent a car or take a bus to Aspen
(1.5 hour drive). For bus schedules see Colorado Mountain Express.
Fly to Denver (DEN) and rent a car or take a bus to Aspen.
It is a 4 hour drive.
Fly to Grand Junction (GJT), rent a car, and drive to Aspen. It is
a 2.5 hour drive.
In all three options, drive on Interstate 70, then turn at Glenwood Springs
onto Colorado Route 82 for the last 41 miles of the trip. Interstate 70
and Route 82 are both excellent roads that travel through valleys.
